Gluten-Free Crispy Orange Tofu
Just because Simply Delish is a dessert-based range, doesn't mean you can't incorporate it into your favorite savory dishes. Nutrition coach, Alexis, did just that! She created this easy, gluten-free orange tofu dish using Simply Delish Orange Jel. This recipe is best for one serving but can be made with additional ingredients to create a dish for everyone!
Servings: 1 serving
- ½ block block super firm tofu
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seed oil
- ½ packet Simply Delish Orange Jel save the secibd half for the sauce
- ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ packet Simply Delish Orange Jel
- 2 tsp manuka honey
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
Pre-heat oven to 425° F. Press tofu with paper towel to draw out excess water. Cut into cubes then toss with oil.
Coat cubes with Simply Delish Orange Jel powder. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Prepare orange sauce. Combine ingredients in a small bowl, mix until combined, place in microwave to thicken for 30 seconds, stir and set aside.
Once tofu is crisp to your liking, toss with sauce, top with sesame seeds and sliced green onion. Enjoy!
