Who doesn't love the classic dessert, Flan? Typically, this dessert is created using dairy-based ingredients. However, this healthy recipe is super special! This vegan flan recipe is created using only plant-based ingredients.

- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- ½ cup allulose
- 4 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup or molasses
- ½ cup coconut cream
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 2 cups unsweetened canned coconut cream
- 4 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
- 1 tbsp arrowroot powder
- 1 sachet Simply Delish Unflavored Jel
Add all ingredients to a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer to reduce.
Once thickened to right consistency, remove from heat and submerge saucepan in ice bath to stop cooking.
Transfer to a container and let cool.
Add all ingredients to a saucepan except for unflavored jel, and stir with a whisk.
Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, then reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes.
Whisk in the Simply Delish Unflavored Jel and remove from heat.
Assembling the Flan
To prep for custard, spray 2 ramekins with non stick spray.
Spoon caramel sauce into the ramekins to cover the entire bottom.
As soon as custard is removed from heat, pour into the ramekins on top of the caramel. Pouring over the back of a large spoon helps for even pouring.
Let custard sit in the fridge to set completely for at least 2 hours.
Loosen edges of the custard with a knife when ready to serve and flip onto a plate.
Pour more caramel sauce on top and enjoy!
